Cory has been serving a wide variety of clients with a unique business and legal focus since 2009. Prior to founding the firm, Cory worked at a national litigation firm before moving to serve as General Counsel for a e-commerce startup that was acquired three years later by a top U.S. retailer. On the heels of sale,, Cory founded CMS Business Law, APC and began assisting other entrepreneurs throughout California.
Cory’s legal expertise includes: entity formation, strategic development and implementation of intellectual property, employment, mergers & acquisitions, contracts, fiduciary duty/board responsibility, risk management, privacy, entertainment contracts and distribution deals, funding, and strategic business planning/development/exits.
Cory has also consulted for several e-commerce retailers, including a top 100 e-retailer, providing solutions to complex supply chain, inventory, and sales challenges as well as risk analysis and management.
Cory is licensed to practice law in the State of California.
